Baird's Forecast Wave Model

The wave simulation is run every 12 hours, based on forecast winds from 00Z and 12Z each day. The run is started from a warm start 12 hours prior to the forecast time. Results are typically available around 2:15 EDT, (about 6:15 past the nominal forecast time).

Note that the simulations demonstrated here do not contain the polar ice effects, nor do they have the latest swell propagation routine. These are included in commercial products.
