Baird announced today that Kevin MacIntosh will transition from his role as President and CEO at year-end, following 44 years of dedicated service to the company. As part of this leadership change, the Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Ed Liegel, Baird’s current Chief Operating Officer, to succeed Kevin as Chief Executive Officer.

Ed has provided significant leadership over the past 20 years, including guiding Baird’s major expansion into the U.S. market over the past decade. Board Chair Doug Scott commented, “Baird has been through a period of extraordinary transformation and growth, and the Board is confident in Ed’s ability to carry the company forward in a similarly successful manner.”

Kevin added, “I am very excited for Ed to take over as CEO and continue working toward establishing Baird as the preeminent company recognized worldwide for creative solutions where water meets land!”

Kevin will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as Executive Chair and will work closely with Ed through a brief transition period to ensure a smooth leadership handoff.
